good! busy? I'm still not used to being in charge of a team larger than 5. but we're flush enough with business that we've been able send the fellas on small brewery scavenger hunts for fun.

ah, yeah. you get that feeling, too? admittedly, I'm not sure I helped, at first. but it did feel kinda like he wanted to shrink me into an ant and pop me, sometimes. maybe the party will be a good opportunity to [...] overcome?

Maybe. I think he just finds me abrasive, which I guess is fair. I always feel like he’s being a little insincere with me, too, so it’s hard to get to know him any better than I do. [...] But Annie seems like she’s happy.

ah, man, that sucks. imo, you shouldn't have to push it if you aren't meshing. being happy for Annie being happy's probably enough, and down the road, maybe something'll click?

Yeah, pushing it doesn't really seem to be helping. I feel like we got along fine before they got engaged, though.

He's had his head buried in the sand for a month or two. I don't know what to do about it besides try to wait him out, but it's got to be hard on Eden. I know it is, actually. [...] Maybe I should invite her to the party after all.

oof. I'll admit, I haven't been the best about keeping up on anyone's love stor Annie and Jack's rlship, but maybe he just feels weird about Annie's band of brothers. if things get less socially sandpaper, maybe we could do a dudes night.

you should! weirdly themed parties have got to be a great distraction from existential problems, right?

I have to be honest with you: that sounds like a nightmare.

For me they're just like much more immediate tangible problems, but I guess that counts.
