I've been in Writing Deadline Hell all day today but I need you to know I cannot stop thinking about this lmao and am 100% sure that Parson is driven by some unseen force to constantly be trying to Do Something Cool in Jack's peripheral vision to annoy/infuriate/finally impress (anfressiate?) him.

Parson constantly being on a Do Something Cool in Jack's Peripheral grind is such an unwinnable situation for Jack because he's always going to be annoyed/infuriated/finally impressed (anfressiated... that's it precisely) no matter what happens. Parson can fall flat on his face and Jack's wretched and incredibly flawed thought process will transmute that failure into a win because Parson dared to try and Jack should have thought of attaching 50,000 balloons to a lawn chair first and Parson monopolized his attention anyway. Parson succeeding in being cool will be even worse, it goes without saying...
hiii enoch and raine are talking abt parson (here) so i wanted to bug u about parson and raine's relationship
he was friends w gavin before he dated enoch and i've said before that he has a generally positive opinion of parson so i am definitely up for them being friends if you're into it, although raine has been very self-isolating/absent for the last ~6months so maybe not so much recently lmao
YES. I would love if Parson and Raine were friends! I think they have an interesting balance of energy, and with Gavin in the mix, it could've made for a friend group? Gavin and Parson were never officially "together" but it was clear that something was going on between them in the last year or two. Since Gavin's death, Parson has similarly been out of it/inconsistently difficult to reach, so they could have been like Parallel Bad About Reaching Out lately?
yes i love this :( i've been flailing w raine a lil because he has a ton of interesting individual relationships with people but no like, normal friend group, so it'd make sense if he used to have one but it just doesn't exist anymore
and deff on mutually not reaching out! raine is very slowly getting his life back in working order lmao but it has not fully happened yet. i'm soffering with this cold atm but once i've recovered i will have him bug him about something or other
YES I think this makes a lot of sense because I am kinda same hat with Parson. Been kinda hoping for a strong, long-standing friendship. The Group Chat has been DEAFENINGLY silent in their phones for a while. 😔 But yes i would love that, I think Parson is ready to start shaking off some of his hermitage, too.
